The second 'Guardians of the Galaxy' movie gets a simple title

No, the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy will not be called Guardians of the Galaxy 2... But that's not far off.

Instead, writer/director James Gunn confirms that the movie will be called Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It is scheduled to start shooting in February 2016.

"Also, hats off to some intrepid fans who figured out the title a couple of days after I posted the cover page. More than one person guessed 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' - I wanted so badly to give you props at the time, but knew I had to wait," Gunn said in a Facebook post.

Currently, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
