The annual Met Gala took place in New York City on Monday night, and many beautiful famous people were invited. The celebrity guest list included D-FW star Selena Gomez, but missing from the red carpet was another Dallas name: Quenlin Blackwell.

Blackwell, a Dallas native with large followings on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, "couldn't make it" to the Met Gala this year, but that wasn't going to stop her from dressing up and blowing people away with her looks.

Granted, the looks were less "red carpet" and more "wood floor in living room." And they were less about fancy fabrics and more about... brooms and sheets? Whatever, it was enough for tens of thousands of retweets (and counting).

Seriously, y'all, that broom look is stunning.

And is that a trash can she carries at one point? Such art.

Twitter loved the video as the lighthearted humor that it is, but plenty of people also had respect for how well she was able to rock the laundry basket look.

To be fair, the outfits aren't much weirder than what stars such as Rihanna were wearing to the real gala, so Blackwell would probably fit right in. I think that probably means she should be there next year.
