How basic are you? Here are the most popular Lyft and Uber dropoffs in D-FW in 2018

Where did you come from, where did you go? Where did you come from, D-FW Joe?

As we finish another year in North Texas, we thought it would be fun to look at the data that shows the most popular places where Uber and Lyft users came and went in D-FW in 2018. After all: Uber and Lyft have infiltrated nearly every corner of Dallas-Fort Worth, and many of us have hopped in a car for a ride to the airport, to work, or home from a bar.

The data culled from Uber and Lyft isn't tallied in the same way, so we can't compare Uber and Lyft's numbers, apples to apples.

What did we learn?

First, people need a lot of rides to and from Bottled Blonde and/or The Backyard, which are both located at 505 N. Good Latimer in the Dallas neighborhood of Deep Ellum. We're going to guesstimate that the high liquor sales and the lack of parking contributed to this popularity.

Second, people love Whataburger. But did we buy a breakfast taquito for the driver who waited in the drive-thru while you silently played on your phone in the back seat? Make that a goal in 2019.

Third, it's expensive to park at AT&T Stadium. Perhaps that's why so many people took a ride there instead of forking over major cash for a parking spot at the home of the Dallas Cowboys. But that means many Uber riders also likely paid supercharged fees that pop up during big events.
