Small drones were raced through the air inside Hangar 4 at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison on Saturday. Twelve pilots, ranging from beginners to professionals, were racing small quadcopters -- under half a pound in weight -- at speeds up to 80 mph during the museum's Drone Wars event.
The museum hopes to use the futuristic spectator sport to bring in kids and get younger generations excited about aviation.
