Brunch isn't just a weekend meal in Dallas-Fort Worth, it's a lifestyle. You say, "Mimosa." We say, "How high?"
The Dallas Observer is banking on locals to bring that attitude to a new local event it's hosting in February. Deemed The Morning After, it's a festival dedicated entirely to brunch food.
[UPDATE Jan. 12 at 11:22 a.m.: This event is now sold out.]
The event will feature more than 25 area restaurants, which will serve bite-size brunch dishes for sampling, alongside eight cocktails, champagne and beer. A preliminary list of participating eateries will be announced on Dec. 13, when tickets go on pre-sale.
And don't worry, you won't have to wake up early for this shindig. The Morning After takes place Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dallas Farmers Market. A DJ will perform while you stuff your face.
Tickets go on pre-sale Dec. 13 via the Dallas Observer, and cost $25 for general admission and $55 for VIP, which includes early access to the event. Each includes unlimited food samples and eight beverage samples, though extra sampling cards can be purchased onsite.
Did someone say mimosas?
