Or with:

The event will set up a 1,000-foot slip 'n slide on Sylvan Avenue in Dallas for attendees to splash down on a tube. They can come in costume or with selfie sticks, as long as they are slipping and sliding responsibly.

Be warned: This is not as easy as it sounds. There's a running-start element to gaining momentum and sliders will need to keep their limbs off the the ground or they'll be skidding to a stop. But that's alright; just grab your tube, run run run and jump back on it.

If you slip and fall, which is likely, that's OK too -- you won't be the only one.

New this year, Slide the City is adding a block party at the base of the slide, which will feature live music, food vendors and street entertainment.

When the event came through North Texas last year, fun seekers in Fort Worth helped set a Guinness World Record for the "longest distance slide on slip and slide in one hour." In fact, they crushed it, going a total 2.5 million feet. Beat that!

Tickets to Slide the City go on sale April 6 and cost $10-$20 depending on when you buy. The cost includes an entry wristband good for once down the slide, a drawstring bag for your goods and a mouth guard. Additional trips down the water slide can also be purchased for an additional fee.
