Sunday in Dallas was cold -- way too cold, in fact, to take a swim in icy waters. But at the fourth annual Hypnotic Donuts Polar Plunge, dozens people hopped right in as if the water was fine.
Others "froze their donuts off," the explanation organizers gave before the event took place. In all, brave 45 swimmers took the polar plunge.

The common refrain was 'ohmygawdthatscold.'
The event at the Fraternal Order of Eagles pool in Dallas on Jan. 10 raised money for the Greater Dallas Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
