So you like free? Me, too. Check out the very free Reunion Lawn Party Saturday night under Reunion Tower. There's music, lawn games and dinner from food trucks.

You're so over this heat. Pretend it's Christmastime with two Christmas in July parties: one in the Bishop Arts District where snow is expected (really!); and a slightly fancier party, this one indoors, where you're free to wear your tackiest sweater.

You like spooky stuff. Cutting Edge Haunted House is doing games of zombie laser tag Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The haunted house is located in an old meat packing warehouse, so those zombies might be real.

You're into live music. Head to the Dallas Arboretum Friday night, where four local musicians will be performing at the first-ever garden-wide concert. Admission's cheap -- just $7 -- and you can even bring your own picnic.
