1. "Fantasy in Sand" is made up of 3 million pounds of sand that was pounded dry into huge blocks and then sculpted by 13 artists over the course of 14 days.

2. The theme for the exhibit is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and the 16 scenes take their cues from L. Frank Baum's book rather than the movie. You can expect to see Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, the Wicked Witch of the West and other memorable characters.

3. The final scenes in the exhibit represent a switch from the Land of Oz to the U.S., with sandy versions of the Lincoln Memorial, Mount Rushmore, the Statue of Liberty and the Golden Gate Bridge.

4. Kids might love the 2,000-square-foot sandbox, billed as the largest indoor sandbox in the state, where they can work on their own sandy creations. Bonus for parents who don't want to be covered in sand themselves: They can watch from an observation deck, kick back and listen to Jimmy Buffett, and sip frozen drinks from the margarita bar. Snacks, frozen treats and soft drinks will also be available for purchase.
