This month, Applebee's is putting a Caribbean spin on its regular lineup of ridiculously cheap cocktails. This one's called the Malibu Dollarmama, and it holds true to its name.
All you need is $1 to buy the tropical cocktail at Applebee's during the month of July.
The drink is on the menu at all Applebee's locations nationwide for the month. (Although the chain does suggest you call ahead to confirm your local joint has it. Who knows how popular these things will get?)
The Malibu Dollarmama is Applebee's twist on a Bahama Mama. The ingredients: rum, Malibu Coconut Rum, Tropicana orange juice and Dole pineapple juice.
Texas has a particular affinity for Applebee's drink specials. In 2016, the chain's dollar margarita promo was one of its most popular to date. The company sold more than 215,000 of the drinks — known as Dollaritas — across the Texas during July 2016, the first time the promotion ran. Fans were so emphatic about the deal, more than 50,000 of them "liked" the Dollarita Facebook page, thereby extending the deal through August.
Later, more than 2,000 Applebee's locations nationwide adopted the deal after seeing its success in the Lone Star State, according to a statement.
