Short-lived Southern comfort restaurant in Dallas closed

Mockingbird Station restaurant Brined Southern Kitchen has closed, as noted by a lockout sign on the door.

The Dallas restaurant was located near the Angelika Film Center in Dallas. It's owned by a group that operates a French cafe called Edith's (which has two existing locations, in Mockingbird Station and in Plano). They also operated an Addison restaurant called Porcino's Southern Kitchen + Bar, but Porcino's closed in December, according to CultureMap.

Brined was a comfort-food place that shared some of the same menu items with Porcino's. At Brined, customers would find shrimp and grits, seared salmon over cauliflower puree, and chicken and waffles.
