Friday the 13th may end up being your lucky day, thanks to North Texas Honda Dealers.
The Helpful Honda ice cream truck is giving out free ice cream to various cities in North Texas this weekend, just in time for National Ice Cream Day. They'll make stops at community activities, parks and sporting events, and they're asking the public on Facebook for suggestions on where to stop.
The truck will start its weekend ice cream tour in Dallas on Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Saturday, it'll make its way around McKinney, Carrollton and Grand Prairie from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Sunday it's planned to head to Richardson, Lewisville and Flower Mound.
So if you like bomb pops, big dippers, orange dreamsicles, fruit bars or ice cream sandwiches, keep an eye out for a free frozen treat in your town this weekend.
The giveaways are part of a campaign Honda is running from July 13 through Sept. 3, which means free stuff for North Texans. They've got a knack for freebies -- on top of free gas for Honda drivers, they also hosted an Easter Egg hunt in March and a pop-up barbecue for Memorial Day for the community.
