New-to-Dallas restaurant BurgerFi beefs up Mockingbird Lane

Bye, Burger King. Hello, BurgerFi. The franchise BurgerFi has opened its first Dallas restaurant on Mockingbird Lane, in place of a former Burger King.

The restaurant sells a fleet of beef burgers as well as two burger substitutes: a veggie burger called a VegiFi and the Beyond Burger, a meat-like burger made out of plant products, similar to the Impossible Burger. According to a press release, BurgerFi is the first burger chain to sell the Beyond Burger.

The CEO Burger might be popular among Texans: It's made with a Wagyu brisket patty topped with candied bacon-tomato jam, truffle aioli and swiss cheese. There's also the Breakfast All Day Burger, with American cheese, bacon, maple syrup, fried egg and hash browns. Customers can also order hot dogs, onion rings, fries, milkshakes and custards.
