If your wallet is as empty of cash as your stomach is empty of ice cream, fear not: On April 10, Ben & Jerry's will give you a free scoop of ice cream for Free Cone Day.
The promotion lasts from noon to 8 p.m., and there are three D-FW locations participating: In Plano (1501 Preston Road), at DFW International Airport and at The University of Texas in Dallas (in Richardson).
Believe it or not, this will be the 40th year that Ben & Jerry's gives away ice cream as part of its Free Cone Day promotion, which began in 1979.
Don't love cones? Don't worry. Despite the name, the Ben & Jerry's Facebook page says you can get your scoop of ice cream in a cup if you prefer. If you don't live in D-FW (or will be out of town on Free Cone Day), you can check for other participating locations on the Ben & Jerry's website.
