Whereas Fort Worth restaurant Reata is a sit down, stay awhile kind of place, its owners are opening a quicker restaurant just a short walk away.

Called 203 Cafe, named for its address at 203 Commerce Street in Sundance Square, the new fast-casual restaurant is expected to open in fall 2017.

9 hidden gems in Fort Worth

203 Cafe is designed for busy people, serving breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday that will be "easy to take back to a desk or a conference room," says Mike Micallef, owner and president of Reata Restaurant Group, in a press release. Some of the expected menu items include a reuben, a croissant with turkey and mustard, a buffalo shrimp ciabatta, and bratwurst on a pretzel roll.

The new restaurant will also offer catering to downtown Fort Worth businesses.

Sundance Square has no shortage of places to eat and drink, with businesses such as Steel City Pops, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Starbucks, Taco Diner, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Flying Saucer and Reata grabbing crowds.

203 Cafe is expected to be open in fall 2017 Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 203 Commerce St. in Fort Worth, on the second floor of the Fire Station No. 1 building.
