Planoites, the time is here. Call up your friends, gather up the kids and celebrate free food and sweet deals June 2-4 during the grand opening of Plano's $400 million dining and shopping destination Legacy West. Come with empty stomachs and shopping stamina.

All weekend long, festivities will include food and drink samplings, limited-time discounts, musical performances by national and local artists and a behind-the-scenes look into the 55,000 square foot Legacy Hall, an urban food hall set to open in fall 2017.

While some shops, including Fabletics and West Elm, and restaurants, including True Food Kitchen, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse and Shake Shack, have already opened, Legacy West will see plenty of additional openings in the upcoming year. The lineup features retail stores such as Planet Blue, Madewell and J.Crew and restaurants such as Earls Kitchen + Bar and Mesero. Next in line is popular bakery Sprinkles Cupcakes, whose May 31 opening is sure to draw lines of chocolate lovers and frosting fanatics.

Legacy Hall: Sneak a peek into the food hall and get free tastes of doughnuts from Glazed Donut Works (June 2, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.), ice cream sandwiches (June 3, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.), Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co.'s beer samplings (June 3, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.) and waffles from Press Waffle Co. (June 4, 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.). 

Earls Kitchen + Bar: Originally from Canada, this casual upscale restaurant and bar is offering free samples of tuna tostadas, a mango tequila cocktail called "man en fuego" or the mango craft soda for a non-alcoholic option (June 2-4, all day).

Fogo De Chao: Sample free fire-roasted Brazilian churrasco, or grilled meats, and other authentic sides (June 2-4, all day). 

Haywire: From the sibling restaurant of Plano favorites Whiskey Cake and Sixty Vines, customers will get complimentary samples of the Homestead cake, a five-layer delicacy made with carrot, apple, sweet potato, zucchini, pear and parsnip then topped with molasses buttercream frosting (June 2-4, all day).

Lombardi Concepts: Restaurants under Lombardi Concepts -- Taverna, Toulouse and Bistro 31 Asian Fusion -- will respectively offer free sample bites of wood-fired pizzas, burgers with fries, and potstickers (June 2-4, all day). 

Mesero: Get complimentary tastings of margaritas and other menu items not yet specified on the restaurant's patio (June 2-4, all day). 

North Italia: This new-to-Plano restaurant will offer free bites of Italian meatballs, proscuitto bruschetta and salted caramel budino (June 2-3, all day).

Sprinkles: Satisfy a sweet tooth with an off-the-menu chocolate cupcake with caramel frosting and a commemorative Legacy West fondant decoration only available on grand opening weekend for $4.50 (June 2-4, all day).

Shake Shack: Free fries! Free custard! Our recommendation is the Pie Oh My!, a vanilla custard mixed with bits of seasonal Emporium Pies. Offer only applicable with purchase of any menu item (June 2-4, all day).

True Food Kitchen: The exclusive cocktail, Plano Paloma, will be sold only on grand opening weekend. Customers can also enjoy free samples of avocado toast, blueberry muffins and natural refreshers, which are concoctions of fruit juices and healthful ingredients (June 4, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.).

Shopping

Bonobos: It's 20 percent off for new customers and existing customers who bring a new customer (June 2-4, all day).

Coach: All customers will get a special gift with purchase. It's also offering monogramming inside the store (June 2-4, noon - 4 p.m.).

Johnny Was: Get 20 percent off any item (though some exclusions apply). The women's vintage-inspired clothing store is also doing a $500 gift card raffle (June 2-4, all day).

Levi's: Visit local musician Jordan Kahn's Friday performance for a chance to enter a Texas-themed jacket giveaway (June 2, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.).
