According to an annual poll, Five Guys has taken the crown as America's top burger chain, dethroning In-N-Out on this year's Harris Poll EquiTrend Rankings. The list ranks companies in various industries -- not just food -- after polling people on "elements like familiarity, quality and consideration."

Among other things, the poll asks respondents how likely they are to purchase from the companies in question.

Texas-based Whataburger? It came in at No. 6 in the Burger Restaurant Category, behind Shake Shack and Wendy's but above McDonald's, Sonic, Smashburger and Culver's. Burger chains that didn't even crack the top 10 included Burger King, Carl's Jr. and Jack in the Box.

On the Pizza Chain list, Plano-based Pizza Hut was No. 3 behind Papa John's (No. 1) and Blaze Pizza (No. 2). Coppell-based Cici's, sadly, ranked below the category average.

Full lists of all the EquiTrend rankings (including lists of things that are less fun than food) can be found on the Harris Poll website.
