In the run-up to International Women's Day (March 8), which this year was also a "Day Without Women," The Boston Globe published a story celebrating the strong female chef and restaurateur culture in that city.  "But it is an exception in an industry where a macho culture can still sometimes relegate women to the 'pastry box' and other background roles, and family-friendly policies like parental leave aren't always on the table," wrote The Globe's Beth Teitell.
