Sprinkles

This is America, the country where choosing between a cookie and a cupcake is no longer required. Sprinkles -- the popular Beverly Hills cupcake shop that has sprouted locations across the United States -- is now selling a cookie cupcake.

If you're all, "I want dessert but I couldn't possibly choose between a cookie or a cupcake," this is your lucky day.

For $3.95 each or $45 a dozen, Sprinkles' new cookie cupcake is made up of chocolate chip yellow cake, then lined with cookie crust. On top is brown-sugar frosting and cookie crumbles.

The new hybrid cupcake will be sold at both of Dallas' Sprinkles storefronts: the Sprinkles cupcake shop as well as the neighboring Sprinkles Ice Cream. It's available from March 1 to May 31.

Sprinkles joins a short list of Dallas businesses that have a truly fanatical following. (A few of the others? Shake Shack burgers. Cane Rosso pizza. Carlo's Bakery. Pecan Lodge and Heim Barbecue.) Sprinkles doesn't require that its patrons wait in line during daylight hours like those other companies do, though: Sprinkles has a cupcake ATM that spits out pastries, for a fee, 24 hours a day.

Yeah,cupcake ATM. God bless America.

Sprinkles is located on an especially sweet corner of Dallas. Here's why it's the "it" spot for bakeries.
