Shop in Fort Worth to sell Amy Winehouse vodka-wine milkshake

Ampersand plans to put coffee in cocktails in the evening hours. Its bartenders will also sell non-coffee cocktails if that's not your thing.

Across the country, coffee shops are popping corks during happy hour. One of Dallas-Fort Worth's better-known coffee 'n wine bars is Ascension. But even mega brands like Starbucks are leveraging this "stay all day" motto in the coffee-and-cocktails space.

In April, Fort Worth is expected to get a new coffeehouse and bar. Ampersand will open in the West 7th development in Fort Worth.

Ampersand will be a cafe, with plans to roast beans on site, during daylight hours. At night, it will become a bar, with some cocktails getting a jolt from your old friend joe. The Cold Fashioned (a twist on an old fashioned infused with cold brew) is an example of how coffee will be used in cocktails.
