New sushi restaurant is coming to Uptown Dallas

Blue Sushi Sake Grill is expected to open a restaurant in Uptown in fall 2017. Dallas-Fort Worth currently has two Blue Sushi Sakes already: at Walnut Hill Lane and Central Expressway in Dallas and in the West 7th Street development in Fort Worth.

Uptown's new Blue Sushi Sake will be located on McKinney Avenue in Uptown.

The restaurant sells a long list of rolls, and that's probably what Blue is best known for. The restaurant also serves sashimi and items from the "grill" menu such as sesame sea bass and coconut chicken. Blue has a separate gluten free menu, too.

Its popular happy hour -- which runs seven days a week -- includes 2-ounce shots of cold sake for $2, martinis for $6, cooked rolls for $5.50, and a list of lower-priced appetizers like edamame and shishito peppers.
