If you want to eat a great cheesesteak, you'll probably head to Philly. If you're in Texas, though, Men's Journal says you should head to Oak Cliff.
Cheesesteak House was named one of the Journal's 10 best cheesesteaks not in Philadelphia. It's up there with big-name cheesesteak shops like Pittsburgh institution Primanti Bros.
Let's pause one sec and just reflect: There aren't that many places to get cheesesteaks in Dallas-Fort Worth. And it would be impossible to know the very best cheesesteak restaurants in the country until someone had eaten at every single one. But put that aside: Cheesesteak House in Dallas is certainly beloved, if its 4-and-a-half stars on Yelp, 167 reviews are an indication. (And that's up to whether you think Yelp is a good source for restaurant recommendations.)
For their Cheesy Cheesesteak, Cheesesteak House skips the Cheez Whiz -- gasp! -- and goes full Tex-Mex by slathering its beef sammies with queso. Yes, queso! Our dining critic Leslie Brenner doesn't like queso. But that's another story entirely.

Hat tip to The Advocate for this cheesy bite of beef.
