It might get a little awkward in downtown Dallas on Thursday. Representatives from Verizon are handing out free tacos at several locations in Dallas. And Dallas, as you know, is AT&T's turf.

Verizon is calling it the Victory Tour. It's all in good fun, says a spokeswoman.

The company is celebrating being named the No. 1 network in Dallas, according to RootMetrics. "[We] believe there's no better way to celebrate a win (or mourn a loss) than with food," reads a cheeky Verizon statement.

The important thing: Anyone can get free tacos in Dallas on Thursday, Sept. 22 if you know where to go.

About 650 tacos, made by Rock & Roll Tacos, are up for grabs on Thursday. Here are the three spots:

  • Uptown Dallas: Near Fairmount Street and McKinney Avenue: 11 a.m. to noon
  • Downtown Dallas: Near Jackson and Lane Street: 12:15 to 2 p.m.
  • Victory Park: At Olive and Houston Streets in Victory Plaza: 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.

Bonus points if you can answer this question: What's near Jackson and Lane streets in Dallas? Ponder that.
