A Dallas-based restaurant is ready to bring healthful eating to Cowtown.
HG Sply Co. is set to open its second location in Fort Worth's WestBend development on Monday, Aug. 22. The concept remains largely the same, with a menu of apps, bowls, salads, and cocktails, carrying out founder Elias Pope's mission to "serve fresh, flavorful dishes prepared and sourced the right way to fuel your day," according to a press release.
Chef Danyele McPherson, who joined the company from the prestigious Grape restaurant in 2014, devised the menu. Fort Worth-based chef Eric O'Connor, formerly of Winslow's Wine Cafe, will serve as chef de cuisine.
The restaurant received just one star in a 2013 Dallas Morning News review when it was focused on serving dishes inspired by the Paleo diet. (That was before McPherson came on board.)
The new restaurant inhabits 4,400 square feet of real estate, with the promise of a 7,000-square-foot patio overlooking the Trinity River to open soon. HG Sply Co. boasts one of our favorite patios in Dallas.
The WestBend complex in Fort Worth is a mixed-use space that includes a hotel and condos among other businesses such as Tyler's, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Zoe's Kitchen and CorePower Yoga, according to Bisnow.
HG Sply Co. Fort Worth's hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Brunch at both locations in Dallas and Fort Worth is soon-to-come.
