Editor's note: This story has been updated with an interview from Rockfish personnel.

Rockfish Seafood Grill has closed two locations in Dallas.

The restaurants at Mockingbird Station, and Preston Road and Forest Lane closed on July 20, confirmed Tommy Lee, the company's president and CEO. There are no other locations in the city.

A representative at CBRE Global Investors, which purchased Mockingbird Station in 2015, was not available to comment on what might replace Rockfish in that complex.

Lee attributed closings, each of which is evaluated individually, to end of lease terms. Both the Mockingbird Station location and the one in Fort Worth were open 15 years.

"In each of these cases it was determined the business was not good enough to support our current lease or one that was similar, and any lease discussions with landlords were unavailable to get to the point where we needed to be for the business," Lee said by phone.

This does not, however, mean the end for Rockfish. Lee's goal it to open one or two new restaurants per year going forward and with a new look.

In 2014, Rockfish debuted its restaurant in Lewisville with a fresh design and new decor and carried the style to its latest opening in Frisco in late 2015. Lee says the new image will roll out to older stores are that remain open. Some will get a revamp, other a complete remodel.
