Fat Shack -- that's really the restaurant name -- expands its waistline to Denton

Leave your egos at the door at Fat Shack, then order a sandwich called the Fat Slob or the Fat Cow. Maybe toss in a side of deep-fried Oreos for dessert.

At a place where a dozen french fries and a blob of mac and cheese come on a sandwich, nobody's counting calories.

Fat Shack, now open in Denton, proudly sells bad-for-you-food. The owners acknowledge they're "not trying to hide anything," says Kevin Gabauer in an interview in early April.

“We’re here to be that spot for someone to come and eat something awesome – something not in their typical diet.”

Perhaps most notably, Fat Shack will deep-fry any item you bring into the shop for $1.

The co-owners have fried slices of pizza, Snickers bars and more. Fat Shack is basically like a State Fair of Texas concessionaire, open year round. Except this new Denton restaurant is way more affordable.

Read the whole story on Fat Shack here. But we know why you're here: the photos.

Fat Slob

The Fat Slob is a cheesesteak stuffed with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, ketchup and mayo. It comes in two sizes: regular and large. Those seem like understatements.

Fat Cow

In case you can handle more than just a sandwich, here's a side of six mozzarella sticks served with the Fat Cow -- mac n’ cheese, two pieces of bacon, a dozen french fries and a mozzarella stick. Too much, Fat Shack?

Deep-fried Oreos

Fat Shack in Denton sells deep-fried Oreos tossed in powdered sugar. This dish seems kinda small. You could always order two.

Fat Shack

This monstrosity is how Fat Shack got its name. The large-sized Fat Shack sandwich can weigh between 1 and 2 pounds and comes with a layer of cheesesteak, two chicken fingers, a jalapeno popper, a mozzarella stick, a dozen french fries and two onion rings. Your dignity might be lodged somewhere in there, too.

Build-your-own burger and fries

Look, not everything at Fat Shack is a sandwich stuffed with fried stuff. Sometimes, the fried stuff comes on the side. Here's one of the more 'normal' menu items: a build your own burger. If you'd rather fatten it up, add mac n cheese, bacon or fried onions for a small charge.
