With the upcoming opening of Revolver Taco Lounge in Deep Ellum -- which I called one of the most exciting restaurant openings in Dallas in 2016 -- owner Regino "Gino" Rojas had plans to shutter his beloved Fort Worth taco shop at the end of 2015.
That idea burned right up, however, when Rojas' landlord offered an extended lease. Revolver Taco Lounge in Fort Worth will stay open until at least mid-2016, Rojas says, with the option to extend the lease this summer.
The menu will remain mostly the same at the original Revolver Taco Lounge, though Rojas plans to create separate lunch and dinner menus in early 2016. Another change: Revolver will sell tacos a la carte instead of in sets of four.
At lunch in Fort Worth, the owner is adding a taco buffet.
The Dallas Morning News named Revolver Taco Lounge one of the best taco shops in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2014. The opening of a second Revolver Taco Lounge in Deep Ellum should come as delicious news to taco lovers. It's expected to debut in March.
