Grace's butterscotch pudding is on the fixed-price menu for Winter Restaurant Week.

Restaurants will try to entice people to dine out during the January post-holiday lull — and make some bucks for charity, as well — by offering three-course, fixed-price dinners. Sound familiar? Yes, it's very similar to the DFW Restaurant Week you know and love.

The main different is that this promotion is almost exclusively available in Tarrant County. Two participants are across the border in Denton County.

Like DFW Restaurant Week, Winter Restaurant Week isn't exactly a week. All 22 restaurants will participate from Jan. 9-15, but about a dozen will extend their offerings through Jan. 22 and five will continue theirs through Jan. 29.

Prices are similar, too. The special menus will be $29 to $49 each depending on the restaurant with $5 to $7 going to one of three charities chosen by the restaurant: Tarrant Area Food Bank, Fort Worth Dream Park and GRACE Grapevine. That's just over 15 percent from each meal being donated. In addition, some participants will offer extras, including wine pairings for $15 to $25 depending on the restaurant.

A limited number of these fixed-price dinners will be served, so advance reservations are encouraged.
