Addison restaurant Buttons is now closed, much to the surprise of the 500-some commenters on Facebook, many who told fond stories of the restaurant.
Buttons was part soul food restaurant, part jazz nightclub. The chicken and waffles were tops, according to a 2011 Dallas Morning News review where Buttons received two stars.
The Addison restaurant closed because management reached the end of its lease "and could not find a path forward that was feasible for us to continue," according to Cissy Humphrey, who sent a tip to GuideLive.com.
The original Buttons, in Fort Worth, remains open.
