North Texans will find 22 La Madeleine Country French Cafes around these parts -- in Plano, Grapevine, Rockwall, Fort Worth and more. The Dallas-based company opens its first Allen cafe Oct. 8.

The new La Madeleine will be located at Twin Creeks Village shopping Center at 810 W. McDermott Drive in Allen. It's one of the brand's biggest shops, at more than 6,500 square feet, and has several dining rooms and a patio, according to a spokesman.

The first 50 guests will receive fresh-baked bread for a year. The line begins at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 8.

La Madeleine is a fast-casual cafe that sells French food such as quiche florentine, beef bourguignon and croque monsieur (ham and cheese) sandwiches. The cafe is open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
