Pinkies up? New Dallas restaurant 18th & Vine does cheffy entrees and barbecue

You've likely read about 18th & Vine, the Dallas barbecue joint with Kansas City in its heart. It is expected to debut Oct. 6 with a menu that starts with brisket, ribs and burnt ends and finishes with cheffy entrees such as salmon with kale-carrot-top pesto.

Planners behind the Maple Avenue Dining District have also announced a pizza place called Sprezza. Sprezza comes from Dallas restaurateur Julian Barsotti (Nonna and Carbone's) and from Chris and DJ Donohoe (the Dram), according to a press release. Not much is known yet about Sprezza except that it will serve pizza, pasta, and Italian wine and beer.

The third restaurant, Señor Manny's Uptown Cantina, is an extension of the Manny's Tex-Mex group.

Sprezza and Señor Manny's Uptown Cantina are expected to open in "early 2016," the statement says. More to come on both.
