If you ever go to Whataburger and order something other than a burger -- Whatacrazyidea! -- take note. As of 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, the Texas-based fast-food burger chain is selling a new, limited-time-only chicken strip sandwich with buffalo sauce and buttermilk ranch.

The only surprising thing about this sandwich is that Whataburger didn't sell it until now.
A non-Texan tried Whataburger for the first time, and it was heaven

Spicy chicken strips, with ranch, between two buns, is a no-brainer addition to Whataburger's simple menu. It's bound to be a crowd pleaser. Just don't look at the calories; fried chicken on bread isn't low in fat, sodium, carbs or sugar.

The sandwich will be available until Dec. 31, 2015, extended only if Whataburger customers prove they like it, a spokeswoman says.

The regular-sized sandwich costs $5.59 or $7.69 with fries and a drink; the junior-sized sandwich costs $4.54 or $6.64 with fries and a drink.

Note that the buffalo sauce is not available as a side. You're out of luck if you want to order fries or chicken strips and spice them up yourself.
