Here's what you need to know about DFW Restaurant Week reservations, opening July 13

Get ready, get set, reservations open July 13 for DFW Restaurant Week. This annual charity event Aug. 7-30 lets you dine at some of Dallas' fanciest restaurants for reduced rates.

Here's what you need to know:

  • On July 13, the list of more than 125 restaurants participating in Restaurant Week becomes available. Check guidelive.com on July 13; we'll have the list.
  • At that time, you can make reservations for participating restaurants. Be sure to note on your reservation that you'll participating in Restaurant Week; the restaurants also serve non-Restaurant Week patrons. Restaurant Week reservations go quickly.
  • Dinners cost $35 or $45 per person, depending on the venue, for three courses. It's $20 for lunch for two courses.
  • Want to get a fourth course with dinner? You'll get a voucher for a fourth course if you spend $25 at Central Market. Just bring your receipt to the Info Desk at any Central Market.
  • Twenty percent from each meal goes to the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope Home.

Restaurant week begins with a kick-off party on Aug. 6 and tickets are available now. Chef Tre Wilcox will help host a dinner at a venue on Cedar Springs Road in Dallas. Tickets cost $50 to $95.

DFW Restaurant Week continues with Preview Weekend on Aug. 7-9, where some but not all restaurants will offer their discounted menus early. The bulk of the restaurants participate Aug. 10-16. Some extend menus through Aug 30; each restaurant management group can decide for itself.
