Crystal Pepsi might be coming back

Crystal Pepsi -- the much-reviled soda that became a 1990s punch line -- might be making a comeback.

There are no real details yet. All we know is that competitive eater, YouTube celebrity and bona fide Crystal Pepsi evangelist Kevin Strahle (aka L.A. Beast) began a campaign to #BringBackCrystalPEPSI, and Pepsi apparently listened. This week, Strahle tweeted a letter he had received from Pepsi, telling him "We definitely hear you," and that "we think you'll all be happy with what's in store."

Pepsi confirmed the letter's authenticity to CNNMoney and NBC News. A spokeswoman told NBC: "We take customer feedback very seriously and we do think Crystal Pepsi fans will be happy with what we have planned."
