New Pizza Hut technology lets you stalk your pizza before it's delivered

Perhaps getting an approximate time for when your Pizza Hut pie will be delivered isn't good enough. You want to know exactly where that pizza is once it leaves the building and is headed toward your mouth.

Say it with me: There's an app for that.

Plano-based Pizza Hut is rolling out a new system in June that will let D-FW customers track their delivery pizza on a map. From afar, you can watch your pizza driver inch toward you in his little cartoon car. You can drum your fingers on the coffee table as you watch his car sit at a red light. (Hold your horses: Safety first.) You won't have to wait for the doorbell to ring; your phone will tell you when it's time to pause your Netflix show and answer the door.

The new pizza navigation technology will be available at 78 Pizza Huts in D-FW this summer. Anyone who uses an app or the website via phone, tablet or desktop computer can track his or her pizza. We'll update you when it becomes available.
