Dee Lincoln's burger bar in Uptown will close

Restaurateur Dee Lincoln will not grow Dee Lincoln Steak and Burger Bar like she once intended. The Uptown restaurant will close March 28, according to a press release, and the Dee Lincoln Steak Bars that were expected to open on Oak Lawn Avenue and in Fort Worth will no longer happen.

The Plano outpost, however, will stay put. Lincoln says the restaurant focuses more on steak and seafood instead of burgers (though there are two burgers on the menu). And as founder of Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Lincoln wants to stick with what she knows -- and that means steak.

The Fort Worth restaurant she was planning in the West Seventh development will now be an "upscale prime steakhouse" instead of a casual steakhouse. There's no name yet; it's expected to open in late summer.
