Chef John Tesar inks book deal

Here's an interesting side note to last summer's contretemps between chef and obscenity-prone Twitter-user John Tesar and our restaurant critic, Leslie Brenner.

When Tesar cursed at Brenner on Twitter following her three-star review of his restaurant, Knife, writer Josh Ozersky was among the first on the scene with a Q&A with Tesar for Esquire, where he is editor at large.

Now Tesar and Ozersky have teamed up to write a book, and Dallas-based agent David Hale Smith got them a publishing contract with Flatiron Books, a new division of Macmillan.

Smith reports that he "brokered a six-figure book deal," for the two.
