Two Thai restaurants called Kin Kin expected to open this year in Dallas

A restaurant called Kin Kin Urban Thai hasn't opened yet in Fort Worth, but its chef-owner already knows he wants to open two stores in Dallas next.

The restaurant comes from chef Eddy Thretipthuangsin, formerly of Pakpao, who opened an American restaurant called Bite City Grill in 2014, closed it in mid-2015, and is now focusing on Kin Kin. The food will be traditional Thai that is "a culinary journey to Chef Eddy's homeland," according to a press release. Some of the dishes could be braised pork belly, braised short rib and tom kha soup.

The rest of the menu, though, that's "top secret" for now, says the chef.

Kin Kin in Fort Worth's West 7th district is expected to open in February. Then, Thretipthuangsin hopes to open at 3211 Oak Lawn in Dallas in March or April and near Preston and Forest in Dallas this summer.
