Richardson's Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival on Tuesday announced part of its usual just-this-close-to-random assortment of bands for its musical lineup for May 19-21.

Take a closer look, though, and some of the freshly announced acts have one adjective in common: raucous.

Wildflower festival keeps the music alive, including Peter Frampton and Survivor

The B-52s will play Friday, May 19. The All-American Rejects and Denton's Bowling for Soup will play on Saturday, May 20. And Shooter Jennings is scheduled to perform on Sunday, May 21.

Almost Queen, a tribute band, will play each day. There will be six performance stages, along with favorite attractions that include the Singer/Songwriter contest, Battle of the Bands, Performers Row and WF! Kids.

Friday's schedule includes X Ambassadors, Guster and Martha Davis & The Motels. Sunday's schedule includes The Outlaws and Ruthie Foster (!).

More acts will be announced for the 25th anniversary edition of the annual event that celebrates art, music and wildflowers.

Tickets will be available starting April 1 (for real). Keep up with additions at the festival website, wildflowerfestival.com.
