5 fun fests this week: Dallas Fan Expo, Taste of Dallas and a Red Bull rallycross

Fan Expo Dallas

Fan Expo Dallas is offering you a chance to meet some comic book icons: Marvel master Stan Lee, current 'Doctor Who' star Peter Capaldi, actor John Cusak, filmmaker Kevin Smith and more. But even without them, Fan Expo Dallas is a fun, nerdy event filled with panels, signings, shopping and fun things to do. You'll find comic books, toys, movie memorabilia for sale from a multitude of vendors. My favorite part: checking out the elaborate costumes worm by cosplayers.

June 3-5 at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Dallas. $25-$55.
