Eat and drink your way through spring festival season in D-FW

We've rounded up a bunch of food and drink festivals happening this spring. They'll be serving up crawfish, craft beer, tacos, wine, pad Thai, waffles, margaritas and more. After all, festival feasts can't be all funnel cakes and turkey legs. Dig in.

Main Street Fest

Texas and regional craft beers are the focus of this Grapevine festival that's subtitled "A Craft Brew Experience." Learn how to taste beers or put your existing skills to use at tasting events, keg tappings and more. The festival, which was previously called Main Street Days, will also have live music, a midway and carnival area, and of course wine, which Grapevine is known for. May 20-21 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., May 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. along North Main Street in downtown Grapevine. $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and children 6-12, free for children 5 and younger. Thai Culture and Food Festival

Dishes representing Thailand's four regional cuisines will be offered, including common ones, such as pad Thai and chicken satay, and some rarities, prepared by more than a dozen local restaurants and vendors. The festival, presented by the Thai Community Center of North Texas, will also include cooking demonstrations and traditional arts, crafts and performances. May 28-29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Buddhist Center of Dallas, 8484 Stults Road, Dallas. Dallas Margarita Meltdown

Taste more than 40 margaritas competing to be named the best in town. Bartenders from Pie 3.14 Everyday Eatery, Asador, Whiskey Cake and Iron Cactus have been awarded the prize in previous years. This year, ticketholders can sample local restaurants' entries from 4 to 7 p.m. and then vote for their favorites. The outdoor fest also includes music by DJ Regs and vendor booths. May 29 from 4 to 10 p.m. in the West End, 1701 N. Market St., Dallas. $30-$35 per person in advance online; $90 for VIP, which includes entry at 3 p.m. and access to a bar with $3 drinks; $15 for designated drivers.
