DOG BOWL

The Cotton Bowl field is transformed into a giant dog park for an afternoon during the Sunday event at the stadium in Fair Park. There'll be splash pools, animal adoptions and live entertainment by the Problematics.

DALLAS CINCO DE MAYO

The free Saturday celebration along Jefferson Boulevard in Oak Cliff will include a parade, a festival, folklorico dancers, marching bands, live music, DJs, tailgating, a car show and food for purchase. Plus, there are plenty of other fun Cinco de Mayo things to do, check out our full list here.

ASIAN FESTIVAL

The 25th annual event on Saturday at Klyde Warren Park showcases more than 30 countries in a celebration of the arts and cultures of Asia. It will include entertainers, traditional and contemporary art-making techniques, children's activities, tai chi, yoga classes, food trucks and more. You know how we mentioned it's a particularly awesome weekend? There's also Plano AsiaFest on Saturday, as well as the the monthlong 31 Days of Asia at the Crow Collection of Asian Art.

COTTONWOOD ART FESTIVAL

Celebrate spring, meet artists and shop for art at this semiannual juried show on Saturday and Sunday in Richardson, which returns for its 46th year. More than 200 artists will sell their work, including painting, sculpture and ceramics. The event will also include the interactive ArtStop children's area, plenty of local music, and food and beverages for sale.

MAYFEST

Hit the banks of the Trinity River for this annual celebration in Fort Worth, which runs Thursday through Sunday. There'll be three music stages, with headliners Brave Combo and Hard Night's Day, as well as four performing arts stages. Other attractions will include paddle boats, an art and gift market, carnival rides, American Duck Races with live ducks, festival foods and much more.
