Allen Public Library
Ages: K-teens.
Where: 300 N. Allen Drive, Allen.
When: June-August.
Cost: Free.
Performances: Students in grades K-5 can enjoy shows by musicians, magicians, the Creature Teacher and more on June 16; July 2, 7 and 9; and Aug. 6. Shows start at 2:30 p.m. (except July 7, when the show starts at
11 a.m.) in the auditorium. Free tickets are distributed 30 minutes before each show. Check the Web site for details.
Game On: Summer reading program for teens focuses on games. Activities on Thursdays at
2 p.m. throughout the summer include movies, game-playing, speakers, workshops and music. Participants keep track of time spent reading and earn rewards for meeting reading goals. Call or check Web site for details, schedules and deadlines.

Lancaster Veterans Memorial Library
Ages: Pre-K through teens.
Where: 1600 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lancaster.

Pre-K through grade 1: Story time, music, puppet shows and other entertainers on June 3 and 17; July 8, 15 and 22; and Aug. 19, from 10-11 a.m.
Grades 2-6: Stories and music on June 19 and 26; and July 10, 17 and 24, from 2-3 p.m.
Teens: Middle- and high-school students can sign up for summer reading club, with related activities throughout the summer. Check Web site for details and schedules.
Anime Club: Ages 11-14 and their parents can view and discuss recent anime offerings. June 19, July 17 and Aug. 21 at 5 and 6 p.m.

Nicholson Memorial Library System, Garland

When: June 8-Aug. 2. Programs and performances vary by branch location.
