ADDISON

DALLAS WIND SYMPHONY Maj. Jim Keene of the U.S. Army Band leads a patriotic program. July 4 at 1 p.m. At the Meyerson, 2301 Flora. $14-$35. 214-528-5576. www.dws.org.

HAGGARD PARK SUMMER CONCERT SERIES Plano Community Band takes the stage at the quaint gazebo in Haggard Park for "A Star Spangled Salute." Bring blankets, chairs and picnics. Thursday at 7 p.m. Haggard Park, 901 E. 15th St., Plano. Free. www.planoband.com.

MUSIC IN THE PARK Mesquite Symphonic Band presents the program "Salute to the U.S. Armed Forces" and a children's parade around the park (after the concert). A MUSICAL FOURTH The audience is encouraged to sing along as the Chapel of the Cross church presents a free patriotic program, which will feature choral anthems and favorites. Selections include "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," "Armed Forces Medley" and John Philip Sousa's original lyrics to "Stars and Stripes Forever." There'll also be a barbecue and pie-tasting.
