AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION
Ages: 4-17.
Description: All camps include arts and crafts, games, sports, swimming and diabetes-education activities. Camp Aurora is for kids with diabetes. Both Camp New Horizons sessions are for kids with diabetes and their siblings and conclude with amusement rides, games and a family picnic.
Camp Aurora: Lockheed Martin Recreation Area, 3400 Bryant Irvin Road, Fort Worth. June 20-25, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Call for information on scholarships.
Camp New Horizons North: Bill Bates Cowboy Ranch, 4934 FM1461, McKinney. June 6-10, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Registration deadline is May 20.
Camp New Horizons South: Cedar Canyon Dude Ranch, 4523 N. Houston School Road, Lancaster. June 20-24, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Registration deadline is June 3.

A youngster celebrated her success during a previous camp at the University of Texas at Dallas.
CAMP C.A.R.E. (CHILDREN WITH ARTICULATION AND RESONANCE ERRORS)
Ages: 4-21.
Where: University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson; call for location information.
When: June 7-July 14. Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Cost: $375.
Description: Intensive speech therapy for children with a history of articulation and resonance errors due to cleft lip and/or palate or velopharyngeal incompetency.

CELEBRATE THE CHILDREN DAY CAMP
Ages: 3-12.
Where: 4494 County Road 4509, Commerce.
When: One-day sessions May 7 and June 4, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cost: $16.
Description: Day camp for special-needs children includes feeding cows off of a hay wagon, learning to fish, cooking out, riding horses, painting birdhouses and more. Accommodations for children with disabilities. Each camper is assigned a buddy.

CRYSTAL CHARITY BALL COCHLEAR IMPLANT SUMMER LISTENING CAMP
Ages: 4-12.
Where: Skyline Ranch, 1801 E. Wheatland Road.

Description: Day camp for children with cochlear implants.

EQUEST THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP
Ages: 4-adult.
Where: Equest, 3800 Troy Road, Wylie.
Description: Equine-assisted therapy and rehabilitation for children and adults with physical, mental, emotional and learning disabilities.
Hippotherapy: May 31-June 24, one- or two-week sessions, Tuesday-Friday for one hour before noon. $640 per week. Physician's prescription required. Call for more information.
Therapeutic Sports Riding: June 13-24, two-week sessions, Monday-Friday for two hours between 8:30 a.m. and noon. $520 for two weeks.

TRICKS FOR TALKING
Ages: Age 4-grade 12.
Where: Callier Center, University of Texas at Dallas, 811 Synergy Park Blvd., Richardson.

Cost: $400.
Description: Program for children and adolescents who stutter includes interactive group activities such as talent shows, scavenger hunts and games. For grade 4 and older, there will be an option that focuses on public speaking skills.
