CAMP JAM – ROCK 'N' ROLL SUMMER CAMP
Ages: 11-17.

When: June 13-17, June 20-24 and/or June 27-July 1, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $495 per week, with discounts for multiple weeks.
Description: Camp with the motto "No Canoes – Lots of Rock" includes instruction for guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, drummers and vocalists. Kids form a band, perform together during the week and play a concert for family and friends.
Before- or after-care available: Both, starting 8 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. (free in the morning, $5 per day in the evening).

DAYJAMS ROCK STAR REALITY CAMP
Ages: 9-15.
Where: Faith Lutheran School, 1701 E. Park Blvd., Plano.
When: July 11-15 and July 18-22. One-week sessions, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Cost: $515 for one week, $945 for two weeks.
Description: Campers learn guitar, bass, drums, keyboards or vocals. Kids form a band, write their own songs and design T-shirts and CD covers in art classes. On the last day, campers perform.

EAST DALLAS CHILDREN'S MUSIC MUSIKGARTEN CLASSES
Ages: 4 months-8 years.
Where: First United Lutheran Church, 6202 E. Mockingbird Lane.
When: Four-week music and movement mini-sessions are offered May 19-Aug. 4 and meet once a week; times vary. Four-day sessions for music and nature camp are June 13-17 and June 20-23, two hours per day. Four-day sessions for intro to keyboard camps are June 13-17 and July 11-14, two hours per day.

Description: Music and movement classes for infants-age 6. Keyboarding classes for ages 6-8.

FIELDS OF DREAMS MUSIC AND ARTS CAMP
Ages: For kids who have completed kindergarten-grade 5.
Where: First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth, 1000 Penn St., Fort Worth.
When: June 13-17, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Performance June 17 at 7 p.m.
Cost: $100.
Description: Classes for all campers include choir, dance, Orff instruments and art, as well as hand bells or tone chimes. Children who have completed grades 4-5 pick one elective: art master class, guitar or world drumming. Includes a performance at the end of camp.

HUBBARD CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES SUMMER CAMP

Description: Camp for kids who play violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp or piano. Campers participate in chamber ensembles or orchestra, with music theory classes, private lessons and sectionals.

STARLIGHT PERFORMING ARTS THEATRE AND SCHOOL CHOIR CAMP
Ages: 4-18.
Where: Starlight Performing Arts Theatre and School, 201 S. Ector Drive, Euless.
When: May 31-June 10. Two-week session, Monday-Friday 1-4 p.m. Recital on June 11 at 7:30 p.m.

SUMMER SINGING CAMP

TEXAS ALL STAR JAZZ CAMP
Ages: 13 and older.
Where: Collin County Community College, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano.
When: July 17-22. Registration begins at 1 p.m. July 17. Camp runs Sunday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with nightly concerts by the Texas All Star Jazz Camp Big Band at 8 p.m. Finale concert July 22.
Cost: $245-$285.
Description: Big Band jazz camp for students with one year of experience on their instruments, as well as vocalists. No jazz experience required. Classes include jazz theory, jazz arranging, master classes, rehearsals and sectionals.
