The company has named Dallas No. 3 on their list of beard-friendly cities, and will be in town next week to give free trims and to crown the Wahl Man of Dallas. The company ranked us just behind Miami and Washington, D.C., but above Austin at No. 5, Houston at No. 25, San Antonio at No. 32 and Fort Worth at No. 47. The ranking was based on online conversations and searches about facial hair, according to Wahl.
The 30-foot Wahl mobile barber shop will be at Taste of Dallas in Fair Park on June 3-5, and for every beard trimmed, the company will donate $1 to ZERO, a charity that supports an end to prostate cancer.
Bearded Dallasites can also compete in the Wahl Man of the Year competition at Taste of Dallas, or by uploading an entry to Facebook. The competition will take one finalist from each of the mobile barbershop's stops -- including Dallas -- and one from Facebook who will earn $500 and a Lithium Ion+ Stainless Steel Trimmer. The grand prize winner will get $1500 and a featured spot in a national advertisement for Wahl.
