It’s about time designers brought back a trend that makes it OK to wear sweatpants in public.

Sweatsuits and slouchy silhouettes were abundant on the runways, and no single show embraced the trend as fully as Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma presentation. The songstress’ debut collection as women’s creative director at Puma was almost entirely hoodies, sweatpants and workout gear. Though some of her designs’ features weren’t exactly functional, we can definitely get behind the comfort aspect of the garments.

Velvet has yet to hit the mainstream as full-force as some of fall’s other trends, so it can still be a bit tricky to find.

  • Dallas tip: H&M has a variety of velvet garments: everything from tops to dresses to boots come in the silky-soft fabric. Alternatively, shopping online at websites like Missguided and ASOS may be your best bet at finding a big selection.
