Holy hairballs, it's National Cat Day!

This furriest of feline holidays comes every Oct. 29 and was reportedly founded to raise awareness about the number of cats that need to be adopted. We'll take any opportunity to melt over society's original viral videos stars. Here are a few ways you can join in the fun.

Please cat responsibly.

Please cat responsibly.

Get kittens delivered to your doorstep

Talk about meow-sic to the ears! Uber is partnering with the local Operation Kindness to bring cuddles directly to your doorstep. Thirty bucks buys 15 minutes with a gaggle of kittens, all of which are up for adoption. Request a snuggle sesh through the app between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

Purchase a Roomba and shark costume for your cat

One time investment, lifelong entertainment.

Give your cat a massage

Rethink your Halloween costume

Embrace your crazy cat persona like these people.

Buy yourself something nice

Perhaps a cat shirtcat stroller, cat body pillow, the world's largest cat painting; then promptly give the box to cat.

Adopt a furr-ever friend

Make a difference this National Cat Day and bring a cat in need to its furr-ever home. There are several organizations in North Texas to explore for a new buddy, including Operation Kindess, the SPCA of Texas, Cat Connection, North Texas Cat Rescue, Dallas Cat Lady, and Pawsitively Texas, to name a few.

Or you could just overdose on cat videos

Go on, we won't judge you.
