THE PITCH: This delicious lager is a new release from Deep Ellum Brewing Company. It has an inviting floral aroma with hints of spice and earth. The body is light, but the flavor shows complexity. There's a good balance of rich rye malts and spicy Czech hops, which lend a welcome bitter note. With an alcohol content of 4.8 percent, it's easy to drink yet has more character than the typical lager.

SERVE IT: Great on its own and food friendly, too. It would pair with a wide variety of foods, including buttery cheeses, fried foods, fish, pork and chicken.

GET SOME: Starting this week, the beer will be widely available at liquor stores and supermarkets that sell craft beers. Sold year-round in six-packs of 12-ounce cans for about $9.99.
